He saw these and wanted them, so I found them on amazon and ordered them. Sure they were expensive, but for good quality cutters that is not unual. These are plastic...kind of wobbly cheap plastic. They worked (we made the first 150 cookies last night, and included a couple dozen ninjas in batch, but I do not know how well these will hold up. I really had thought that for 15 dollars plus shipping they would have been made of sturdy metal.Ahh well. Live and learn. 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Fred & Friends Ninjabread Men Cookie Cutters (Kitchen) I bought these as a gift for my sister, she has a weird obsession with ninjas. The set is cute, but if you use them with a cookie dough that "expands" even slightly while baking you can't tell what the hell these are when they come out of the oven. Best used with old-school gingerbread or shortbread dough, not so great for sugar cookies. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful By K. Rivera "Kay" (Piscataway, NJ United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Fred & Friends Ninjabread Men Cookie Cutters (Kitchen) These cookie cutters are awesome! I thought they were metal, but they're plastic, which I prefer, as they don't rust and they're easier to clean. My advice is to work with a stiff, chilled dough. For good measure, once the cookies were cut, I laid them on parchment paper on a cookie sheet, then popped them into the freezer for a few minutes to set them before baking. They came out great! My friends loved them! |
